“ Honest Abe's is great for a splurge meal. The food is delicious and you will get a lot of food included - but if you eat it all in one sitting you may start to feel it later (I recommend getting a to-go box). Their specialty burgers (particularly the Greatest Burger Ever and 1809 burger) are worth the upgrade, as are the truffle fries. I prefer this location to others because of ease of access and the great vibes upstairs. Service is reasonably fast, but I always order online if I'm taking it to go to make sure I get my food faster. ”
“ Randomly stopped in here because it was open and we were hungry. I ordered the 1809 because it sounded good. Smoky mayo, bacon, apples, what's not to like. I also ordered the cinnamon apple tea. It was a bit on the sweet side but tasty nonetheless. Now let's get to this burger... amazing!! It was a little more done than I would have liked but it didn't get into dry territory. The smoky mayo, with the bacon and apples are a winning combination! I enjoyed that burger so much! I'd eat that everyday if I could. And the fries are also great! Thin, crispy, salty goodness. Great fries, great burger. Can't wait to return!! ”
“ Love the vibe the building gives! It's a mixture of new age Americana with an old building to house it. I've never had a bad time or burger from this place at any location. The burgers are always delicious, fries are always hot, and the whole building just feels lively. Extra points for making fries so good that my autistic son ate not only his, but he was stealing mine too. Service is pretty quick and you're not really bothered throughout your meal. ”
“ Super friendly staff! Pictured is the kids sized burger which was perfect for me. The awesome sauce has a garlic taste but nothing too overpowering. Everything about this burger was just perfect, great bun, perfect amount of ketchup, burger was cooked well done but not dry, and just enough caramelized onions. The fries were on the done side and slightly cold but they weren't too greasy and tasted great! Everything was reasonably priced. Super cool Abraham Lincoln decor everywhere ”
“ I will start by saying I am not usually a burger fan but was told this place has super good burgers. I got the fireside without the lime stuff on it and it was GOOD! Service was great the young gentlemen working the cashier was great to explain how the menu works and how the menu rotates and everything. We dined in upstairs and it was a cute place! The only suggestions I have would to be give more sauce in the sauce containers and a maybe a bit more fries! Was definitely a filling burger. Also there was unlimited refills which is always a plus. Definitely make a stop by here if you're in town and want a yummy burger and fries. ”
“ Burgers were good, although I will say I was slightly disappointed in the amount of advertised toppings.....if you're gonna put grilled Brussel sprouts on a burger, put an amount that makes the patrons reallys say "WOW"! Establishment was clean, staff was friendly and attentive! ”
“ Modest Downtown eatery in Lincoln serving a variety of standard and rotating specialty hamburgers. All ingredients were fresh and flavorful, the meat was cooked perfectly, the bun was substantial and lightly toasted, the sauce was tasty without being overpowering. Fries were crispy and seasoned. Where I live people go nuts over In-N-Out Burger -- Abe's is a next level dining experience. The order counter is downstairs and the waitstaff brings your order upstairs to the seating area where they have a soft drink fountain so you can refill your drink. The vibe is hip and cool, with Warhol inspired portraits of 16 on the walls. The music suits my alt-indie tastes. I just wish I had bought the hat. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available for online purchase. Treat yourself; this is a great choice if you want a hamburger and maybe a hat. ”
“ Them fries!! Soooo good!! They had these hand cut fries that were fried to perfection and salted just right. Ohhh man! I want some more! And when I was sitting there eating they came by with an order that was a giant basket of them. Recommend 10/10! The burger was good too. I enjoyed it. I would have bumped it up a little if the BBQ sauce was perfect, but I didn't feel it was quite there. Great place to get a burger! Give it a try! ”
“ I have always been a big fan of Honest Abe's since living in Lincoln while in college. Who could forget the chokehold that truffle fries had on us. Besides the truffle fries, Honest Abe's creates one of the best burgers ever in my opinion. I love that they have a rotating menu whilst also having a standard menu depending on your mood. Never disappoints and is one of my favorites. ”
“ I've been holding on this review for several months because I've been busy. But I have finally gotten a chance to come back and give this restaurant the review it deserves. I've eaten at one of the other locations before, but this was my first time at this location. My son and I stopped here on the way to an event in Lincoln. We came around lunch time, and the restaurant was fairly busy. Full, but not a long wait for a table. My son and I placed our order and sat down. He ordered the Lil' Kids Meal Hamburger with ketchup and mustard and fries ("Freedom Fries"). He also got a Birthday Cake Shake. For my meal, I went with the Hammer of Thor - a burger with chipotle cream cheese, brussel sprouts, bacon mayonnaise, and pepper jack cheese. For mine, I subbed in the parmesan truffle fries. The menu here is simple. Ten or so burgers that all sound awesome, get it as a single or a double, and sub a vegan or chicken breast patty at no charge. They have fries and tater tots (plain or parm garlic) plus loaded fries ("Blazing Saddles"). The parm fries dunked in Abe's Sauce is the way to go (for adults, sub ranch if you are a kid or kid-at-heart). The only downside to our visit was the wait time. As mentioned, it was lunch time, the place was full, all food places are short-staffed, and they are making things fresh (even your fries). We waited about 20-25 minutes and with all that figured, the wait seemed reasonable to me. If you want fresh food, it's worth the wait and you need to eat here! Liam at a fair amount of food for him, but he's a very light eater so I finished all three of his items. The burger was a bit dry and not my choice of toppings, but for a kid's meal burger, it was acceptable. I give it a 7/10. The fries (both types) are exceptional here. The regular ones are seasoned with salt and crispy, and the parmesan truffle fries are crispy and smothered with parmesan and seasoning. Very delicious - even though they dump it in the middle, there is more than enough for all your fries. And the portions of fries are very good here too. I give the fries a 10/10. As for the shake, they really are not my thing. And chewing through sprinkles seems kind of weird, but the flavor was good. Liam gave this an 8/10. Kids meal hamburger and fries Hammer of Thor, combo, sub parm truffle fries Birthday cake freedom shake TOTAL: $26.24 ”
